I havent’ posted in the past few days because we have a new member in our family!
Keira
This is Keira, a (presumably) mix German Shepherd / ?. I think she has the face shape of a Husky puppy. Her first vet visit is this afternoon, maybe he can tell us what he thinks.
She’s playful, full of energy and seems to be remarkably intelligent. My wife and I are excited about this, it’s something we’ve wanted to do for years.
By the way, I no longer require login for comments, tell me what breeds you think she is!
Oh my gosh! How adorable! I can see why you just couldn’t say no.
To me, she looks like a Shepherd/Lab mixture. It’s a little early to tell IMO.
Hope she doesn’t find out about the “rigged” fence on the North side of the yard. hehe
Doc said that she definitely has Shepherd in her, but like you said, TQ, she’s a bit too young to say for sure.
I wish Jammi would let us get a dog…she’s a dog nazi!

While I was growing up we had a puppy named Sheba. German Shepard, Golden Retriever, Collie mix. Mostly Shepard. Gotta tell you, right now, Keira is lookin a lot like Sheba did around that age. I was very young though. Sheba also had more gold in her body coloring, but the face is pretty dead on. It’s been 20-21 years since she was a pup though (she passed on naturally when I was in college) so my memory is fuzzy and I dont know where pictures of her are (my parents may have) but if I can find any i’ll send them your way! I have one or two of her as an adult. Message me on PL and remind me and i’ll send them over (Fredsmom).
